Jenny Johnson - acoustic guitar and voice
Jenny Johnson is an Americana, soul-singing, guitar-picking, singer-songwriter of her own tunes from the deep, damp backwoods of Southern Illinois. She started writing tiny ditties for friends and co-workers as a joke and just kept going with it. Her songs and style have evolved to a powerful and engaging performance that can stir your soul or lighten your heart with every tune. Jenny has created a style all her own through an amalgam of ragtime, bluegrass, jazz and folk. She’s performed with Marshall Crenshaw, Chicago Farmer, Town Mountain, Hobo Knife, The Flowers of Evil, The Woodbox Gang and is featured on the Woodbox album, Glorious Scars.
