Dive Bar Rock ‘n' Roll
This Carbondale, IL based band may be new to the scene, but its members are not. Everyone in the band is a veteran musician with an impressive resume of credentials.
Eddie Chapa is a founding member of the legendary Carbondale band Jungle Dogs that still play annual reunion shows in Carbondale after over two decades of beer-filled performances of near mythical proportions. Eddie also performs with local Blues/Funk favorites King Juba fronted by the well-known James Barnes and is also in the newly formed Diamond Dog that features distinguished members of Southern Illinois’ famous Diamondback.
Chris McKinley is a well-respected vocalist that has performed and recorded with numerous bands over the years including The SweeTarts, The Mojo Deans, Stace England and the Salt Kings, David Gene Smith, Jackhead, and The Ivas John Band. Chris is known as the ‘Queen of Harmony’ and she can drink most of the guys in the band under the table.
Mike Ricci is the owner of Mike’s Music Store in Carbondale and has played with the revered Beatles tribute band Doctor Robert. Until recently, he fronted The Knapsack Problem, and previously was a member of the Violent Femmes cover band American Music.
Bill Lancaster has performed with many bands in his years of involvement in the Carbondale music scene including Slappin’ Henry Blue featuring the one and only Tawl Paul. Bill has also drummed for Dennis Stroughmatt’s Creole Stomp, Todd Freeman, and the Scott Munson’s impressive studio project IT.
